THE leader of the right-wing English Defence League (EDL) is under investigation for -money laundering.
Stephen Yaxley-Lennon has had his bank accounts frozen by police and has told supporters it is “inevitable” that he will go to jail “despite being innocent”.
In a hate-filled rant on YouTube, the father-of-two accuses police of fabrication and “disruption tactics” and vows to set up a branch of the extremist EDL in jail. “They want to put pressure on me,” he said.
Carpenter Yaxley-Lennon, 28, is currently on bail after police raided his home in Luton, Beds.
Police are investigating the source of several sums -deposited in his accounts between 2007 and 2009.
The EDL is opposed to what it claims is the intention of Muslims to impose Sharia law in the UK.
He says a friend in jail is being pressured into giving evidence against him.
