Father and Son Charged with Drug Distribution and Money Laundering

STATESBORO, Ga.—A Toombs County father and son have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to sell cocaine and marijuana and money laundering.
Edward J. Tarver, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, announced the indictment against Raymond and Gabriel Florez.
Officials executed federal search warrants at the Florez’s businesses, EZ Pay Auto in Vidalia and the Silverado night club in Lyons, and their Lyons home in March.
If convicted, Raymond and Gabriel Florez could face life in prison and a $5 million fine. Officials are also asking for the forfeiture of the Silverado and at least $8 million in drug proceeds.
