Four valley men are on trial in a federal case involving allegations of arson and money laundering.

Majeed Basazpour of Youngstown, Mohammad Fard of Canfield, Iraj Nasseri of Poland and Frank Tenny of Masury are being tried in federal court in Cleveland.

Government investigators claim the four were involved in a plot to burn down nine local businesses between 1995 and 2005.

The indictment says the suspects shared more than 755-thousand dollars in insurance claims. And investigators believe some of the suspects used the money to buy property in Iran.
