The Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) took two people into custody on Nov. 27 during a narcotics search.
Police executed a drug-related search warrant with the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office and East Central Drug Task Force on Wednesday.
The search took place in the 1000 block of MacFarlane Street in Mexico where officers discovered:
l Methamphetamine
l a stolen firearm
l drug paraphernalia used to distribute narcotics
l approximately $3,100 in cash
MPSD arrested Roman C. Morrow, age 37, and Dymond N. Kemp, age 22, both of Mexico.
Morrow faces pending charges for Conspiracy to Commit an Offense, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm as a Prior Offender, Money Laundering, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Receiving Stolen Property.
Kemp also faces pending charges for Conspiracy to Commit an Offense, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Receiving Stolen Property.
Both suspects were detained and transported to the Audrain County Jail while their charges are pending.
